EthnoGuessr is a daily geography quiz that turns the world’s ethnic and cultural diversity into a short challenge. Hosted at hbd.gg, the browser-based experience shows facial composites of ethnic groups from around the world and asks players to drop a marker on a map to guess their geographic origin. Each round scores points based on how close the guess lands to the real answer, so observation, intuition, and trivia all combine.

The platform ships with several game modes so visitors can switch between interests. Classic mode presents averaged faces of well-known ethnic groups and challenges players to identify their origin on the map. World Cup mode adds a sports twist by showing one averaged face per national team. Genomes mode is a newer addition that displays real photos and asks players to guess AncestryDNA-style regional breakdowns. DoggoGuessr keeps the same mechanic running for dog breeds.

Daily challenges provide a steady reason to return. A new set of faces appears each day, and a public leaderboard lets players compare scores with friends and the wider community. Visitors who want more flexibility can browse the full archive, and anyone curious about their own heritage can submit AncestryDNA results and a photo to appear in Genomes mode for other players to guess.
